Swallows touch down on my Church Patch.

On the 6th of April (after work) I went to my Church Patch, with the intention of seeing my 1st Swallow of the year. I arrived at just before 4.00pm, and scanned the skies, but didnt see any at that time. I did see 3 Kestrels together though(the most Ive seen together at the same time) 2 Kestrels were displaying in flight, whilst the other remained perched on top of the Church.
Then I thought I saw a single Swallow fly over, but I wasnt 100% sure. But then 2 Swallows did fly over, so there was no doubt that they had arrived. This is the first time Ive made a record of when Swallows arrive at the church, so its all new to me, because I havent watched my patch for even a year yet!
I was just about to leave(it was close to 5.00pm) when both Swallows landed on the overhead cables near the Church, so I would get a chance to take some photos after all.

Note. Just a note to say that my Blog has only just updated(its been having some problems of late???) So if any of my fellow Bloggers missed my last post, which was purely about Nuthatches, then please take a look at some of my photos, they came out quite well, cheers.

This was shot on the shaded side of the Church, so image is of poor light/quality. But it shows where you might find one of the Kestrels perched, especially in strong winds.
